About Me

My Philosophy

 My  personal philosophy is based on the idea that we all have the ability to  help ourselves given the right tools, insights, and opportunities and  that my role is really to help guide and empower others to that place so  that they are better able to navigate through life's obstacles and  challenges. 

Background

 Diane Patton Gaither is  a graduate of John F. Kennedy University and holds both a Bachelor’s  and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. Diane is a Certified Eating  Disorder Specialist, Hypnotherapist and Certified Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapist. Diane generally works with individuals 15 and up,  couples and families. Areas of specialization/interest include eating  disorder treatment, issues related to parenting, anxiety, women’s empowerment  issues, dream work, hypnosis and regression work as well as Ketamine assisted therapy integration work. In addition to private practice,  Diane is the Lead Therapist at Mid Peninsula Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Cupertino. Diane also the held the position of Clinical Director at Cielo House's Adult Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment Program in San Jose, for over 8 years.

Diane has a diverse  background of experience which includes a history of educating and facilitating  groups for perpetrators of domestic violence through Turning Point  Counseling and Education Services, supporting and educating parents of adolescents struggling with various stages of substance abuse/addiction  at Therapy Works Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Center, and has  worked for Santa Clara County’s Suicide and Crisis Services, providing  crisis support, giving presentations on various crisis-related topics throughout the community, and providing one-on-one grief counseling to  survivors of those who have committed suicide.

Diane has also served on the Board of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California  Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (SCV-CAMFT) for two years as the Director of Membership.
